The discussion will focus on the critical role lawyers in the public and private sectors, in partnership with community members, can play in combatting the rapid rise in anti-trans legislation and policies across the nation.
Topics discussed will include:
- Baker Botts, Lambda Legal, and the ACLU’s representation of plaintiffs in a lawsuit challenging Texas DPFS’s implementation of the Governor’s directive to investigate the provision of gender-affirming medical care to trans adolescents as child abuse. View the article about this lawsuit here;
